The Toughest Thing About Weight Loss
Is staying consistent.....long term!

Weight loss is simple, maintaining it is a bit trickier
Contrary to popular belief, success with weight loss isn’t about the initial drop in pounds; it’s about maintaining consistency and sustaining those results
After working with thousands of individuals, I have found that there are three major reasons people struggle to stay on track.
Problem #1: Lack Of Accountability
We are all busy, and everything else seems to come before our health goals. Without accountability, we will slip back into old habits. Almost everyone I have worked with feels fantastic when they are on track, but when they revert back to their old habits, they revert back to their old results which is extremely frustrating. Staying accountable is critical, especially for the first year.
Problem #2: Not Identifying Triggers
If you do not know what derails you, how can you stop it? It is rarely about the food itself; it’s usually about disrupted routines, lack of sleep and mindset. People often think they need a new diet plan, which can help but that isn’t what causes people to get off track. Understanding and addressing the underlying issues that cause us to revert to old habits is the key to knowing how to manage and or avoid them and stay moving forward.
Problem #3: Lack Of Purpose
Without a strong purpose, you’re likely not going to be able to stay motivated to make your efforts last, We as humans do not do anything for long without a compelling reason. The three main drivers are:
Health: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and weight loss eliminates the fear of negative outcomes and health risks. Nobody wants to be told you have 3 months to improve, or you will need medication with unwanted side effects…
Wealth: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle has a direct impact on our performance and ability to maximize financial gains as well as our ability to ENJOY them!
Relationships: Improved self-confidence, patience with kids, and being present with family and loved ones and staying healthy for their futures! Loving ourselves better enables us to love others better.
The Solution
Get accountability: Find a friend, coach, or family member to be accountable to for a year. This person is a weekly check in.
Identify Triggers: Recognize the routines and habits that derail you. Then work to change them.
Define Your Best Self: Visualize the best version of yourself and then break that vision down into achievable micro goals. Consistent small steps lead to significant changes and improvements!
Remember this: Weight loss and getting healthy isn’t a destination, it’s a practice.
